WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN SELECTING A WEATHER STATION

DO YOU WANT TO RECEIVE YOUR DATA WIRELESSLY OR MANUALLY DOWNLOAD THE DATA?

Wireless Weather Stations use a CELLULAR or WIFI signal to transmit data from the device to the SpecConnect Cloud. The WatchDog Retriever/Pup 900MHz RADIO NETWORK can also be setup wirelessly as long as a DataScout Modem is added to the Retriever. A wireless connection allows you to view data anytime on the WatchDog App and with the annual SpecConnect subscription, you can view standard and create custom reports to better analyze your data. Non-Wireless Weather Stations are DATA RECORDERS and require you to either directly connect to your PC or download from the station via USB. Data is viewed with our SpecWare software which allows you to view and analyze reports. You can use the WatchDog App as long as you are in range of the station and using Bluetooth to connect.

Choose one or multiple measurements you want to track to filter the WatchDog Weather Stations that will meet your needs. Optional measurements include Temperature, Rainfall, Relative Humidity, Soil Moisture, Wind Speed/Direction, Solar Radiation (ET), and PAR Light.

DO YOU WANT TO ADD ADDITIONAL SENSORS TO YOUR WEATHER STATION?

Most WatchDog Weather Stations come with sensors already integrated into the device. Some Stations have open ports available to include additional measurement sensors. There are also some Stations that allow you to fully customize the measurements you want to track by picking and choosing all the sensors you want to add. Choose additional sensors based on your needs and number of ports available on the specific station you are purchasing.

HOW DO I VIEW THE DATA?

Our WatchDog Mobile App allows you to configure your compatible station and view Current Conditions and Reports. See what is going on in your field or golf course before you even leave your house in the morning!

All Wireless WatchDog Weather Stations allow you to view data real time in the WatchDog App from anywhere and on your PC/Tablet via SpecConnect, our annual cloud based subscription that stores your data and allows you to run standard and customized reports to suit your needs.

Non-Wireless Weather Stations require SpecWare to view and analyze data. The WatchDog App can be used to see current conditions as long as you are in range of the weather station and connected via Bluetooth.
