NATIONAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Position

This position is located in Aurora, IL and will report to the Director of Domestic Sales and Marketing and will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and growing Spectrum’s business in the domestic turf market thru existing Turf distributors while identifying and developing new distributors
  2. Achieving sales targets
  3. Introduction and increased adoption of key products to turf distributors

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Place outbound calls and make customer visits to current and prospective distributors in pursuit of business development
  • Track customer activities and follow up actions within the CRM system
  • Visit, build relationships, provide training and increase product breadth at key distributors in the US and Canada
  • Lead efforts with major Golf Irrigation distributors to introduce new products and grow business at each location
  • Support product launch efforts for new Turf related products, identify ways to speed product adoption
  • Understand and respond to trends, markets and products; voice industry needs and gaps internally
  • Develop market goals, annual business plans and monthly action plans
  • Conduct regular reviews of marketing activities and development programs that impact the Turf industry
  • Forecast, budget and track assigned revenue targets
  • Monitor the status of activities, action plans, sales and projects on a weekly basis
  • Database management of all activities related to the customers within the Turf market
  • Represent the company at select trade shows or association events

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, MS or MBA preferred.
  • Relevant Turf Industry experience and understanding of the market preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years successful, results driven sales experience
  • Demonstrated skills in achieving sales, profitability and budget goals
  • Thorough understanding of consultative sales cycle
  • Ability to understand complex or technical concepts and communicate them to customers
  • Ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies
  • Ability to effectively monitor industry performance versus plan and communicate accordingly
  • Ability to interface and demonstrate leadership both internally and externally
  • High-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate cross functionally within company and with customers
  • Demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customer
  • Effective, strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High level of accountability
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders internally and with customer

SALES CONSULTANT

Position

This position will report to the Sr Director of Domestic Sales, Marketing and Support and will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and growing Spectrum’s business in the assigned business segment
  2. Achieving sales targets
  3. Achieving sales metrics (calls/emails/etc)
  4. Serving as the industry expert in assigned business segment

This individual will also be responsible for the introduction and increased adoption of key products to this market.  The clients are focused in the following sub- markets; a) Universities/Colleges, b) Government Agencies

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Place outbound calls to current and prospective customers
  • Visit key accounts to build relationships and demonstrate product solutions
  • Track customer activities and follow-up actions within the CRM system
  • Develop account strategies in accordance with overall channel strategy
  • Single point of contact for all aspects of business with accounts
  • Develop account goals and business plans with customers
  • Forecast, budget and track account revenues and cost
  • Ensure new products are introduced across the accounts
  • Communicate through a weekly report the status of accounts, sales and projects
  • Understand and respond to trends, markets and products
  • Attend market specific trade shows

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree; agriculture, horticulture or business related field is a plus
  • 3-5 years of successful, results driven sales experience

DOMESTIC SALES COORDINATOR

Position

This entry level position will report to the Director of Domestic Sales and Marketing and will be responsible for:
  1. Direct support of Sales Consultants to grow revenue
  2. Achieving daily/monthly metrics (calls/emails/etc.)
  3. Overall support of business growth within domestic markets

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary contact for domestic quotations and orders.  Follow up as necessary to ensure that quotes are current and orders ship as expected
  • Provide daily support to the Domestic Sales Team
  • Liaison for the domestic sales team with respect to all warehouse & logistics needs
  • Interfacing with and supporting customers in all facets of their Spectrum business dealings
  • Subject matter expert with respect to shipping matters and NetSuite (order entry, e-mail campaigns, etc.)
  • Provide assistance to accounts receivable on past due accounts
  • Additional tasks as needed
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably NetSuite
  • Effective, strong communication skills, both verbal and written
