pH Meters

pH is a measurement of the degree of acidity or alkalinity of a solution as determined by the concentration of hydrogen ions. Monitoring pH levels is important because mineral elements key to a plant's growth become chemically bound in higher pH envirnoments. Deficiencies of these essential nutrients damage plants and make them more susceptible to pests and diseases. The pH of water may have an effect on the treatment of water and also should be considered if the water is used for field application of pesticides.
