Make management decisions based on your field’s spatial variability

Get maximum value out of your portable FieldScout® meters by using SpecMaps, Spectrum’s web mapping utility, allows you to create 2-dimensional color charts of geo-referenced data from any FieldScout meter with a serial input connected to a GPS receiver. The contour plots give a powerful visual image of the variability across the site. The data point charts give you the ability to see the impact of individual data points on the interpolated map. A summary of the data is also included along with a histogram to give an additional visual image of the data.
Statistical interpolation is used to create charts that give you and your clients an instant visual picture of the spatial variability across the landscape. Data is archived at the server so your maps can be easily accessed from any computer with access to the internet. Monitor localized dry spots on a golf green, compacted zones on a soybean field, or nitrogen-deficient sections of your vineyard. SpecMaps is your edge in effective crop and soil management.

Created with the turf professional in mind, SpecMaps ProTurf adds features to SpecMaps designed specifically for monitoring irrigation efficiency in turf.
SpecMaps ProTurf allows for the inclusion of sprinkler head locations as well as the radius of throw for each individual head. The measurement summary includes a computation of the lower quartile Distribution Uniformity. This is a useful addition to the traditional irrigation audit because it is based on water in the soil profile rather than irrigation water applied to the surface. The additional features in SpecMaps ProTurf are designed for the FieldScout TDR
300 Soil Moisture Meter.
