The Heating Degree Day WeatherTracker measures and records outside temperature every 15-minutes. Heating fuel suppliers then view daily, monthly, or year to date Degree Day accumulation to determine how much fuel their customers have used. By forecasting fuel usage, suppliers can make less frequent and larger deliveries, saving time and money.
Heating Degree Day recorders have been available for some time, but none offer the level of accuracy, reliability, and affordability of The WeatherTracker system. Some features include: - Battery-powered electronic measurement – no mechanical parts
- User-defined degree days, customizable to location
- 15-minute Degree Day algorithm – far superior to hourly or daily calculation
- Radiation Shield shields sensor from elements
The Heating Degree Day WeatherTracker records temperature at ±1°F accuracy. An LCD screen displays current time and conditions, daily high/low values, daily and monthly heating and cooling degree day accumulation, and battery power. A 9V battery powers the unit for up to 10 months. Degree Days are calculated on quarter-hour intervals. All WeatherTracker products include a one-year warranty.
